My way of working as a counsellor looks more like therapy: I am informed by my counselling training, and by my own many years of Somatic Psychotherapy. I love to support clients to explore whatever they bring, to help them find their way forward through present difficulties, or to look at underlying patterns of emotion or behaviour.

As a trauma and couples therapist, I am passionate about helping individuals and couples reduce their distress. I am Gottman Method and EMDR trained and I have a special interest working with first responders and couples in conflict and/or on the brink and couples affected by betrayal.

I was self-employed in an arts-based career before deciding to change direction at the age of 50. My own psychotherapy had already profoundly changed my life and I couldn't think of a more important or meaningful occupation to pursue.
