My approach is respectful of individuality. I'm wanting to find the method that best meets a client's unique circumstances, rather than trying to fit people into a particular model. I work with the whole human being, including transpersonal aspects. One session may suffice to bring new awareness. Or it may take longer to work with entrenched patterns, traumatic experiences or seemingly impossible blocks to creating a different life. Whatever you bring, we will work together to discover a new way

As a member of a professional association for psychotherapists and counsellors I participate in regular professional training and personal development seminars. I also have regular clinical supervision for my client work as well as personal therapy.
My early training in psychology took me to working in child protection and then into community welfare with migrants and later with disabled children. This breadth of experience has enriched my ability to understand the needs of clients who come from all walks of life.
As a more mature person I undertook further training in Holistic Counselling and Psychotherapy which reflected the newly emerging integrative practices involving body, mind and spirit. This direction also reflects my own evolution.

I love working with people from all walks of life, all ages and orientations. The therapeutic relationship provides a safe and sacred space for relieving the suffering and discovering meaning in seemingly hopeless situations. Life disturbances present opportunities to know ourselves more fully and to live more authentic lives. To make sense of difficult experiences and then use this awareness to change unhelpful patterns can transform our quality of life as well as enrich all our relationships....
