Philosophy & Vision
I have worked in the field for more than 20 years and specialise in working with adults with complex trauma. I have worked with adults, older adults, children and families. I have extensive experience in working with people with depression, anxiety, panic disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, and drug and alcohol issues. My approach is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I believe that emotional difficulties often develop in response to early life experiences, attachment patterns, and chronic stress — not personal weakness or failure. Therapy provides a safe and supportive space to understand these experiences, heal emotional wounds, and build healthier ways of relating to yourself and others. I integrate evidence-based therapies including Schema Therapy, EMDR, and DBT, tailoring treatment to each person’s needs.
Background
I have extensive experience in working with people with depression, anxiety, panic disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, and drug and alcohol issues.
I have worked in both public mental health settings (inpatient and outpatients), private hospital day program settings, community health facilities and in primary schools. Additionally, I have experience in conducting assessments, individual therapy and group therapy.
Services
I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and emotional dysregulation. Sessions are tailored to your needs, whether you are seeking short-term support or longer-term therapy.
My goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your experiences, build coping strategies, and work toward meaningful change.
In our sessions, we work collaboratively to understand your concerns, identify patterns, and develop practical strategies for change. Therapy is a safe space to explore your thoughts and emotions without judgment, at a pace that feels right for you.
Quality Provision
I provide professional, evidence-based therapy that is safe, ethical, and tailored to your needs. Sessions are confidential, client-focused, and guided by best-practice approaches such as EMDR, DBT, Schema Therapy, and trauma-informed care. I am committed to ongoing professional development and transparent communication, ensuring you feel supported, understood, and empowered throughout your therapy journey.

A conversation with Yogeeta Kiran
-
I started my career in nursing and found myself to interested in hearing patients life stories and experiences. I particularly enjoyed psychology as a subject in my nursing degree and my favourite placement was mental health. I did not want to become a psychiatric nurse which led me to making the decision to be a psychologist
-
From psychoanalytical to CBT, I found myself to be interested in both initially in my career. This led me to being particularly interested in schema therapy which combines both together. When I started training and working in a hospital DBT program, I found the skills to be particularily helpful for me and my clients. I have more recently trained in EMDR as a number of my clients were asking about it.

I help adults navigate stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and life transitions. Therapy offers a safe, supportive space to explore emotions, build coping strategies, and work toward greater balance, understanding, and personal growth.

Progress varies for each client. Many people notice small but meaningful changes, like improved coping strategies or insight, within the first month of therapy, though deeper issues may take longer to work through. I regularly check in with clients to review their goals and celebrate the progress they are making along the way.
-
Therapy has helped me understand my emotions and patterns more clearly. I now manage stress and anxiety better, communicate more effectively in my relationships, and feel more in control of my life. It’s given me tools to navigate challenges with confidence and clarity."
-
The ability to help people by validating their experiences, helping them navigate challenges and helping them heal from trauma
-
Yes, I practice what I teach: self-acceptance on those days
-
A growing sense of disconnection - from ourselves, each other, and shared humanity - alongside rising fear, division, and uncertainty.

The book that inspired me the most is the one on Radical Accptance by Tara Brach.
I also find the song by Miley Cyrus, Flowers inspiring because it is a song about self-care and healing from emotional pain.
