Philosophy & Vision
Hello, my name is Sheela. I am an ADHD therapist working alongside clients newly diagnosed with ADHD. My role includes supporting clients post-diagnosis as they come to terms with their condition.
I also see both male and female clients who are in middle management and are usually in the thick of juggling family and careers. We work around areas of perfectionism and impostor syndrome in the workplace and I help my clients to understand the why behind what they do.
Some of my areas of expertise include narrative therapy and inner child work. I see clients of diverse backgrounds who want to be the best version of themselves. I also work with newly migrated clients to Australia as they assimilate into mainstream society.
Background
I journeyed into the space of counselling after realising that my own journey of life dotted with its ups and downs were a gift in itself. It has made me examine my own relationship to my self and how each day I can strive to be the best part of me. However becoming the best part of me comes from embracing all the parts of me. I decided I needed the tools to do that.
Prior to becoming a counsellor I was a church pastor and a registered nurse.
