    A conversation with Petroula Quinn

    • I have always been drawn to helping people and therefore I gravitated to Psychology. I thoroughly enjoy what I do - assisting clients through difficult times and helping them live out their potential.
    • Healing individuals who have experienced trauma and adverse life experiences.
    • I draw from a range of modalities including: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) for trauma, Process-oriented therapies and Ego-State Therapy for childhood trauma.
    • This varies, depending on the severity of the issues and how long a person has been struggling with their issues. Generally you can start to feel shifts after 4-6 sessions. Roughly individuals will attend for min 10 sessions. With singular trauma experiences using EMDR, significant shifts can be experienced after 4 sessions.
    • I have felt privileged to support so many people who have experienced significant hardship and difficultly. I believe my professional journey has humbled me as a person and I truly am grateful and privileged to be in a position to help others learn and grow as individuals.
    • Witnessing transformations
    • Yes, I am human first and foremost, I have my own strengths and weaknesses. We are all learning and growing.
    • Hate and war
