Philosophy & Vision

I work with gifted and neurocomplex individuals who have unique and divergent processing styles, often in tandem with autism, adhd and complex trauma. Gifted individuals have minds which range from being somewhat to extremely complex in domains beyond the intellectual, such as the creative, emotional, sensual, physical and existential. My approach works towards creating a safe, curious environment where we can get to know our complex inner experiences across these many domains. Together, we can facilitate a greater sense of wholeness and ease.

Background
Prior to entering the social work profession, I spent almost a decade in arts and cultural community development. I have found that incorporating creativity into the therapeutic space can help us connect to our bodies, our environments, and our inner landscape. I have been privileged to work alongside a large spectrum of people with all kinds of experiences that affect how they approach work and relationships.
As a member of the LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent community, I also appreciate the unique celebrations and struggles that come with these experiences and identities.

I work online via Zoom and I take clients from across Australia. I am also available for supervision appointments for professional therapists, including social workers, surrounding neurodivergence.

Modalities
Brainspotting - Internal Family Systems - Trauma-Informed
Therapy Approach
I work with Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Brainspotting. These are non-pathologising, trauma-informed modalities which recognise that we are all multifaceted and contain the innate capacity for healing. I have found that their open approach and client-led emphasis allows space for complex and divergent processing styles.

Appointments
I have current availability for new clients. I work on Mondays and Wednesdays, with after-hours appointments available at a small extra charge.
Fees & Insurance
I charge $190 per session, but am open to discussing a sliding scale for clients who are unwaged or in financial stress.

Payments are handled by the lovely admin staff at The Counselling Spot, who are able to help you with any aspect of booking and payment.
