Philosophy & Vision
Life changes often bring feelings of uncertainty and upset, leaving us feeling unsure of our next step. This is when an experienced therapist, steadying and guiding you on your journey, could help. I bring my years of training and experience, working with you to find more clarity and a way forward.
I specialise in supporting women going through life transitions, grief, loss or bereavement, including aging, disability and end of life. Being a person-centred therapist means I accompany you with great care, non-judgement and empathy as you come to terms with what has happened or is happening in your life. The Green Oasis in offers a beautiful, peaceful space for women to rest and heal.
Background
I hold an Honours Degree and Diploma in Person Centred Counselling from Middlesex University and the Metanoia Institute in London. Training here involved a requirement for many hours of our own therapy to develop our capacity to be with others in difficult emotional territory. From this experience I have a deep respect for the client and their ability to understand and find meaning for themselves from their own internal frame of reference when they're well supported to do the work of healing.
Services
I provide face-to-face counselling in two locations, near Umina on the Central Coast and in the Sydney CBD near Wynyard.
For women that can't easily attend therapy, I offer home visits (this includes hospital and residential care home visits), on the Central Coast and in the Sydney area.
I also offer online video counselling via Zoom.
Quality Provision
I am a member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA). Registration with the ACA means I have the required professional qualifications, meet ongoing professional training requirements and have clinical supervision regularly to ensure I provide a quality service to clients and abide by the ethical guidelines of the profession.
