Philosophy & Vision
I am a psychoanalyst and psychotherapist with 25 years of full time professional clinical experience in private practice. I have had three clinical trainings. And hold an indelible ethical position on confidentiality. Initially I trained as a philosophy academic, and so bring a great deal of insight from the history of ideas about the human psyche into my clinical practice. Most significantly I attend to each person’s emotional and psychological suffering such that it leads to a fulfilling life following one’s own singular desire for love and work.
Background
Before becoming a psychoanalyst I was a Philosophy academic at Monash, Deakin, La Trobe and Notre Dame Universities. Also I worked as a Psychotherapy and Counselling academic at Murdoch and Edith Cowan Universities. Since then I have worked full time with patients for 25 years in private practice. However I am an active member of the World Association of psychoanalysis and continue to research in the professional developments in my field.

Dealing with current issues and unresolved psychological dynamics from the past, Grace has an impeccable record of healing painful symptoms.
She works long term with clients. Firstly she provides a free interview, followed by 4 weekly sessions to determine the ongoing nature of the therapy.

Her ethical approach is to treat each person as authentic with an open mind and with responsibility, respect and integrity.
She is also an academic expert in the field of psychoanalysis, philosophy and ethics and the humanities thereby bringing a rich history of ideas and research to clinical practice.
