Christina Nielsen

Psychotherapist, Holistic Counsellor

Bowral, NSW 2576

In Person + Telehealth

Philosophy & Vision

I regard human difficulties as opportunities for growth and development. I see each client as a unique being carrying within them the wisdom and freedom to choose their own direction. I believe that the psychosocial issues of individuals are located within the context of their family, social and global systems.

Background

Christina is a qualified counsellor, psychotherapist and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practitioner. Her passionate interest in the human condition and belief that traditional western methods of viewing patients provides an incomplete picture, fuelled her extensive study in Australia, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and China. Diverse learning from both East and West has stimulated her unique synthesis of practice and integrated approach to healing.

Services

  • Professional Training, Clinical Supervision
  • Christina has practiced and taught acupuncture and counselling and now provides ongoing clinical supervision to practitioners from a variety of professions. Her wide-ranging skills and experiences have been drawn upon to develop Metavision and the course of studies at the Metavision Institute.

    Quality Provision

Building on her early days in Social Work and ongoing studies in the areas of Chinese medicine, Anthroposophy and Process Orientated Psychology, Christina has continued to broaden her understanding of the wellness continuum and develop her therapeutic practices to better meet the needs of her clients, learning that one approach does not suffice when it comes to the complexity of healing.
