bulletWelcome to Good Therapy Australia

self awareness social responsibility

A Resource for Self awareness and Social responsibility
Good Therapy Australia is an integrity-based company, dedicated to making good therapy more accessible, enabling Australians to find the best possible support for awakening awareness, creativity and responsibility. We believe our attitudes and actions as individuals foreshadow the health and wellbeing of our communities - locally and globally - and that limiting one's world to one's self has never been a sustainable option. Paradoxically, taking responsibility for one's self is the most profound and effective way of making a positive contribution.

bulletFind a Therapist

find a therapist Good Therapy provides a place for Australians to learn about therapy, explore what good therapy means for them personally, and make connections with the people in their community who practice therapy. Search Good Therapy's Directory to find mental health professionals in Australia: select Advanced Search options to find therapists who match special criteria, or browse profiles of accredited counsellors and psychotherapists, registered psychologists and psychiatrists in your area. We recommend reading Find a Therapist Search Tips before you begin.

character bowl Psychodrama is a technology for creativity. It pumps life into tired old bones enabling them to dance and sing with the power of life. Psychodrama sets up an authentic and sustainable life. It does this by tapping into each person's natural spontaneity that lies at the core of their being. That spontaneity allows people to do remarkable things, truly remarkable things. read philosohpical enquiry

Into the Wild

Influenced by idealists Tolstoy and Thoreau, Christopher McCandless, aged 22, finishes college and, instead of pursuing a promising career, chooses to abandon society in order to live more authentically. Donating his money to charity, he goes on the road and for 2 years, finds his home in nature and friends in hippies, a farmer, a young girl, and a lonely old man – all of whom benefit from their encounter with this 'free spirit'. Faced with difficult and often dangerous situations, Chris finds peace, joy and beauty in the wild of Alaska, and meaning in the maxim “A man must test himself at least once in his life”. Though saddened by the circumstances of his tragic demise, and the pain his family went through, I was inspired by his courage and commitment to living simply, and moved by his ultimate discovery that “happiness is only real when it is shared”.  Jess Bryan  tell us about a film that moved you

forum image

It is the school holidays and I wasn't able to get time off. My husband insists that our girls aged 11 and 14 are old enough to be at home during the day on their own while I'm at work (for 5 hours). The girls also like the idea but I'm not convinced. They get on well together and I trust them but I feel uncomfortable about leaving them. Can you suggest some guidelines as to what age is okay to leave children at home unattended?   answer
