Philosophy & Vision

I offer a warm, down-to-earth space where we can explore the challenges you may be facing. Whether you are managing current stressors, working through difficult past experiences, or seeking greater clarity and balance in your life, counselling can provide an opportunity for meaningful growth and self-understanding. I work with adolescents and adults to better understand the patterns, experiences, and difficulties that may be impacting their wellbeing, relationships, or sense of self. Everyone’s process is different, so our work together will be shaped around your individual needs, pace and circumstances.
My approach to counselling is collaborative and practical. I aim to create a space where you feel comfortable speaking openly and honestly, without fear of judgement. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I draw from a range of evidence-based therapies to support your specific goals and circumstances.

Background

Before moving into counselling, I spent four years working as an English Second Language teacher, supporting people from a wide range of cultural backgrounds and life experiences. This work shaped my understanding of identity, communication, belonging and the different ways people experience and move through the world.
I have spent the past five years supporting neurodiverse students within a primary school setting, helping young people navigate emotional regulation, social challenges, learning differences, and self-esteem in environments that do not always accommodate individuality well. This experience continues to shape my flexible, person-centred approach and strong appreciation for neurodiversity-affirming practice.

    Therapy Approach

I'm an integrative practitioner utilising an evidence-based blend of Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to deliver tailored, client-focused outcomes. My approach is client-led rather than agenda-driven. I follow my client’s goals and rhythms and adapt my stance as their needs evolve, rather than using a rigid model. I’ve learned that an effective stance isn’t static, it shifts in response to the person in front of me.
