Philosophy & Vision
I'm a counsellor and psychotherapist who is passionate about exploring the patterns and beliefs that influence who we are as individuals and members of a community. I believe that understanding what concerns us is what allows us to change. The deeper our understanding, the freer we feel to be who we want to be.
I'm influenced by psychodynamic and relational approaches to understand the person you are now and the person you can become.
Background
For as long as I can remember, I've been a thoughtful listener. The people who knew me were always comfortable opening up to me about their problems. In leadership positions, my focus became the emotional well-being of those I looked after. My time as a school counsellor showed me that many young adults needed someone to talk to about their emotional well-being and plans for the future. I feel like it's a genuine calling to become a psychotherapist, not only to be the listener of people's lives, but to help them get in touch with their inner strength so they can make the choices to become the person they want to be.
Services
I offer individual counselling for those who want to explore their emotional and behavioural problems. Clients might be suffering from situational depression or anxiety, relational issues (romantic, platonic, or familial), or self-esteem issues. My approach is grounded in person-centred, psychodynamic, and relational therapy, with space for both practical support and deeper reflective work depending on your needs.
Quality Provision
I am committed to providing a safe, ethical and professional counselling service. This includes working within my scope of practice, maintaining clear boundaries, engaging in supervision and ongoing professional development, and offering therapy in a way that is respectful, confidential, and responsive to each client's needs.
