The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.

Philosophy & Vision

You may appear high-functioning on the outside yet feel overwhelmed inside — caught in perfectionism, overthinking, self-doubt, anxiety, people-pleasing, or struggles with boundaries.

Perhaps you’re exploring personal, relational, professional, or gender identity, navigating attachment patterns, or noticing the effects of childhood emotional neglect or emotionally immature parents. I offer a warm, intentional, non-judgmental space where insight, honesty, and emotional safety intersect, supporting clarity, confidence, and meaningful change.

I specialise in perfectionism, high-functioning anxiety, overthinking, emotional regulation, boundaries, attachment, ACEI dynamics, and identity exploration, using psychodynamic and relational approaches. LGBTQIA+ and kink-affirming, I blend evidence-based and relational methods to help you shift patterns, reconnect with your authentic self, and build a steadier sense of wellbeing.

Background

I began my career in Psychology in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts from UNSW, then spent over a decade in case work, social work, policy development, and counselling, supporting and protecting adults with intellectual disabilities.

After a career break to raise my three children, I completed my Masters in Counselling & Psychotherapy at ACAP, and returned to practice with renewed clarity and insight, launching Syné Collective.

Syné Collective was born out of a gap in Australia’s mental health industry, which can feel clinical, cold, and inaccessible. Our aim is to make therapy as easy, warm, and enjoyable as your morning coffee, blending psychodynamic and relational approaches to support insight, healing, and meaningful change.

Services

  • Counselling, Psychotherapy, Couples Therapy, Family Therapy, Group Therapy, Workshops / Courses, Phone Consultations, Online Video Consultations
  • I offer multi-modal psychotherapy, blending psychodynamic approaches with human-centered therapy to support insight, growth, and lasting change. I am a Gottman-trained couples therapist and work primarily with individuals, while also offering group and family therapy.

Sessions are available in person in our warm, inviting space in the heart of Sydney CBD in the Darling Park Towers in Sussex St, and online for convenience and accessibility. My approach is tailored, collaborative, and grounded in creating a safe, supportive, and client-focused experience.

Some core interests include Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents, Personality Disorders, Transgender & LGBTQ+, High-Functioning Anxiety, Menopause, Open Relationships, and more.

    Quality Provision

I am a PACFA Accredited and Registered Psychotherapist committed to providing high-quality, ethical, and client-centred care. At Syné Collective, we prioritise ongoing professional growth through monthly supervision, reflective practice, and continuous learning, ensuring our approaches remain evidence-based and responsive. We actively incorporate feedback loops to tailor therapy to each client’s needs, fostering insight, healing, and meaningful change.
