Philosophy & Vision

As a Clinical Counsellor I offer a compassionate, grounded space to explore what has brought you to therapy. People come for many reasons, sometimes in response to a current challenge, and sometimes to make sense of longer-held patterns or experiences. Whether you’re seeking short-term support or deeper, ongoing work, therapy can support insight, emotional awareness, and meaningful change.

I work collaboratively and at your pace, with a strong focus on emotional safety and the therapeutic relationship. My approach is trauma-informed, relational, and integrative, drawing on a range of modalities depending on each person’s needs. I’m particularly interested in how personal stories, attachment patterns, and relational dynamics shape the way we experience ourselves and others.

I value therapy as a space to be heard, understood, and supported, where curiosity, reflection, and care can gently open new possibilities.

Background

I hold a Bachelor of Counselling (BCouns), a Graduate Diploma in Social Care (GradDip), and I am currently completing a Master of Social Work (Qualifying) and a Master of Narrative Therapy. I have worked in the human services sector for 15 years across both private practice and non-government organisations.

Over time, I’ve worked with people across different stages of life and alongside a wide range of experiences, from mental health challenges, addiction, to trauma, periods of crisis, life transitions, and experiences of suicidality. I also held a leadership roles in different roles. This breadth of work, particularly within private practice, informs the way I show up: attentive, considered, and grounded in ethical, trauma-informed care

Services

  • Counselling, Psychotherapy, Phone Consultations, Online Video Consultations
  • I see people who experience situational issues but also for more ongoing challenges where they have noticed repeated patterns occurring in their life. This can be concerns relating to depression, stress, anxiety, relationship concerns, grief or loss, identity, self-esteem, life transition, substance use or addiction, work pressure or burnout, child/adulthood trauma or simply to connect with a therapist to maintain mental health. I also work with clients who experience situational or ongoing suicidal thoughts.

At a foundation level, I work from a humanistic, person-centred, and relational framework.
I am an integrative therapist that draws on a diverse range of modalities and approaches depending on the individual person.

    Therapy Approach

My work is grounded in an attachment-based framework, with a strong focus on creating safety, trust, and consistency throughout the counselling process. I view therapy as a collaborative relationship, where the therapeutic connection itself is a central part of the work.

At a foundational level, my approach is humanistic, trauma-informed, and relational. I practise integratively, drawing on a range of therapeutic modalities and perspectives depending on the individual, their goals, and the context they bring. This allows the work to remain flexible, responsive, and attuned to each person’s unique needs.
