Philosophy & Vision

I'm a holistic counsellor and psychotherapist, and my work centres around helping clients make sense and meaning of their life story. I work with people who may be feeling lost, stuck or out of alignment in their lives and relationships.

I also specialise in working with people who are feeling overwhelmed by world issues as well as personal ones. You may be feeling a deep sense of grief, loss or fear about the environmental crisis or around social injustice issues.

Background

Prior to my transition to private practice, I worked in the non-profit sector for environmental campaigns.
My interests have long sat at the intersection of social justice, mental health, ecology and spirituality.
I see the health and wellbeing of each person as inseparable from these things.

My work as a yoga teacher also informs my work with therapy clients - I draw on somatic awareness and mindfulness practices in sessions.

Services

  • Counselling, Psychotherapy, Walk and Talk Therapy, Workshops / Courses, Phone Consultations, Online Video Consultations
  • Sessions are by appointment either online or in person (South Fremantle).

I also offer Nature-based therapy sessions at Booyeembara Park, Fremantle.

    Quality Provision

I attend regular clinical supervision, as well as continuing my own self-development through personal therapy.
I continue my professional development through trainings and readings.
As a member of the Psychotherapist and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) I uphold the values and ethics of the organisation.

    Therapy Approach

I believe that the challenges in our lives can be seen as an invitation to more wholeness, if we can be curious enough to explore them. I draw from Internal Family Systems (IFS), gestalt therapy, Jungian psychology, attachment theory and somatic awareness.

Therapy allows us to shine a light on our habitual thoughts, patterns and unconscious behaviours, giving us space to move through our lives with more freedom and purpose.

My job as a therapist is to join you on a journey of peeling back the layers, helping you make sense of what you discover on the way, as you find your way back to your deepest and most authentic self.
