Philosophy & Vision
My approach to therapy is compassionate, relational and collaborative. I work from a inter-cultural, trauma-informed, anti-oppressive perspective, offering support for clients with a diverse range of emotional concerns including: challenges with anxiety, depression, impacts of trauma, difficult family dynamics, grief and loss.
I work with adults and welcome those with alternative lifestyles, cultures, bodies, and gender identities.
Background
Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, I worked in the community sector working with young people and families impacted by substance abuse. I enjoyed community based work and as a training psychotherapist continued to support individuals in a community based clinic. In private practice, I enjoy working with diversity and those who have experienced a sense of being different or not quite fitting in, in their life. I often work with queer, trans, BIPOC, sex-worker, and neurodiverse clients.
