Philosophy & Vision

I offer you an outside perspective as sometimes family / friend support is not what we need at this particular time. Drawing on the skills and counselling techniques I have learned, I can support you through challenging times and help you become stronger and more aware, guiding you towards successfully managing your life.

Background

I am a trained psychotherapist and trauma counsellor with a Masters Degree in Counselling and Applied Psychotherapy from the reputable Jansen Newman Institute (JNI). As well as attaining my degree in a philanthropic field that I am passionate about (that of offering professional support and help to others), my studies have enabled me to form an in-depth understanding of myself and my life experiences thus far.

Some of these experiences revolve around my own personal history and repression with trauma and loss. Through establishing a trusting and empathetic bond with the right counsellor in a safe environment, I was able to face and work through painful memories and feelings. I was able to heal and grow in time.

Services

  • Counselling, Psychotherapy, Phone Consultations, Online Video Consultations
  • Emotional and psychological trauma is the result of an extraordinarily stressful event. Trauma damages the psyche and produces overwhelming stress to the point where your ability to cope with the intense emotions leaves you confused and upset. Your sense of security may be shattered, making you feel helpless in a perceived dangerous world. Trauma therapy can help you climb out of the void and heal, enabling you to live a fulfilled and content life.

Anger, pain and depression are often experienced together which is stress-inducing to say the least. It is the psychic pain of depression that feeds anger but anger can also fuel depression. I also specialise in anger management and relationship counselling.

    Quality Provision

We are living in uncertain and unprecedented times that are stress-inducing, not to mention confusing and upsetting. It is understandable that you may feel like you need extra support during this time of isolation. Maybe you can't see your family or friends; maybe you are worried about the world and feeling lonely or anxious? I offer online sessions via video (Zoom or Skype) or phone support through FaceTime. There is flexibility around session times with in person sessions still available.
