My mission is to provide therapy tailored to you! If you're ready for change, together we can work out the best fit method for you to reach your goals. I offer sessions inside my counselling room or outside. You've got the choice to work on your mental health and get your daily steps in if you'd prefer to walk and talk as we solve your problems. I also offer personal training for counselling clients who are keen to boost the mental health work we are doing, and get fitter and stronger too!
Counselling available in my comfy room in Crows Nest or if you'd prefer a Walk and Talk session we can meet at a local park, or do your usual walking route or a favourite walking track in the Lower North Shore area!

I see therapy as a collaborative process where I meet clients where they’re at and work at their pace. The therapy space I create is relaxed, non-judgemental and compassionate.
I support clients to work towards their goals in a strengths based and solution focused manner. For those who looking for deeper understanding of self, I work in a psychodynamic manner where clients are supported to explore and increase their awareness of their emotions, patterns and behaviours.

I'm a clinical member of PACFA and a member of Fitness Australia. I adhere to all ethics and codes of conduct, and ensure that I engage in ongoing professional development and regular supervision for best practice.
All of my consultations are strictly confidential and I provide an inclusive service, I welcome those from all walks of life.
I've been working in the mental health sector in a variety of client facing roles over the last eight years. I've worked in large NGO’s, with multi-disciplinary teams, in small grass roots organisations and in private organisations providing therapeutic support to clients with complex mental health, addictions, family conflict and trauma.
Over the years, I noticed that many clients preferred to have sessions outside in the sun. Those who walked while they chatted said they found it to be a more laid back way of having therapy. Others were keen to get fit too but felt uncomfortable about joining a gym or getting a personal trainer. So I created Motivated Minds as a safe space where you can get your physical and mental health needs met.
There's 2 hour free council parking, 2 hour paid street parking and some time limited free street parking in the surrounding streets.

My focus is empowering clients to create the life they want. I'm an experienced counsellor and psychotherapist and uniquely I'm also a qualified personal trainer. Mental & physical health are connected, so I provide a holistic option for those keen to improve their health inside and out! I work in a trauma-informed and client-led manner, I'm down to earth and kind, but direct when needed. I love to laugh, and enjoy the sense of achievement that comes with making progress and reaching goals....
