    A conversation with Robyn Mansfield

    • A deep curiosity and interest in people and the human condition.
    • My core philosophical approach is driven by curiosity, and drawing on techniques that help to create shifts, changes and healing. I am interested in answering questions such as what makes us think, feel and behave the way we do? How do we navigate life, and find a path to follow? How do we encounter challenges, and how do we find meaning? When we get stuck, how do we create a shift? My approach in sessions is to explore and work together with the client to understand where they currently find themselves, and to collaboratively find a path forward that addresses issues and opens doors for increased fulfillment.
    • I draw upon a collection of methods as best fits the individual's needs and preference, including Relational Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness techniques.
    • This varies depending on the circumstances and goals of each client. For some, a meaningful shift can occur in 5 to 10 sessions. For others wishing to create a change in long-held patterns of behaviour, it can be beneficial to attend sessions for a longer time.
