Philosophy & Vision
For over 25 years I have gratefully supported humans to flourish personally and in relationship. Initially working in organisational environments and now as a psychotherapist/leadership coach in private practice, I have learnt that we are fundamentally self-organising, self-regulating and self-healing. However, when the natural flow of belonging and connectedness withers, is too much, or becomes unattainable, we find ourselves alienated from ourselves and life, and cut off from connection, aliveness and creativity.
I work with clients who are interested in understanding and healing their relational attachment dynamics at a mind-body-soul level. They may know little of their body dynamics, yet have a curiosity to explore and find out..
Background
For over 25 years I have gratefully supported humans to flourish personally and in relationship. Initially working as leadership coach and facilitator in organisational environments and now as a psychotherapist and leadership coach in private practice. My dual psychotherapy and coaching skills enable me to support a client wherever they are and support them to reach the future they desire.
Since I have been working in private practice I have supported clients relationally in many ways - breakups, new relationships and strengthening existing relationships. My passion is supporting clients to make space from our often busy and critical minds to connect with their hearts, emotions and self-compassion. From there relationships thrive.

Therapy Approach
I ask what you want to get out of the therapy/coaching and include your longer term goals if relevant. We can often exclude what we really want and I gently invite that in. I will ask if you want to work somatically and that if we touch on developmental trauma often the body is a helpful doorway through. My approach can include movement and be experimental in nature to encourage the body to move and complete old stuck patterns. All invitations are optional. I bring in the language of the heart in collaboration with the knowledge of the mind and sensations of the body. Touch is an important portal. The therapeutic use of touch can support a person to move out of self-judgement and self-rejection towards heart centered self-acceptance.

The power of receiving unconditional support from a therapist was life changing for me.
-
Greek philosophy, Buddhism approaches to alleviating suffering and more recently being a student of the Diamond Approach, which brings forth a unique understanding of ancient spiritual wisdom and modern psychology to help students uncover their true potential.
-
I am particularly interested in supporting clients to discover and experience their true selves along the journey.
-
Being present to what is happening, allowing space for thoughts, feelings, emotions and sensations to shift. Supporting integration and meaning.
-
They will experientially feel real progress during the session with additional shifts after. Deeper patterns will continue to shift outside of the session. These are often unnoticed until clients find themselves in better moods and moving in ways that are different to when they felt stuck.
-
The biggest change has been healing early developmental and shock trauma when I was under 3 years. I developed more capacity and coherence in my felt system. This has enabled more confidence in my external life and an ability to move through inevitable challenges more easily.
-
Seeing clients feel themselves again. It's an honour to be a part of a client's journey back to health.

Yes of course! The saying "two steps forward and one step back" definitely rings true in my world. As things shift, particularly inside, stuck patterns release and there can be stronger sensations and memories to work through. On these days I need loads of self-compassion and support from others. I particularly appreciate nature, yoga and a laugh on those days :). I believe healing is a life long journey.

Our world and our people are going through so much at the moment. The impact of climate change, conflict and violence is hard to witness and to know what real action to take. We collectively need to realise how our fragile self-esteem contributes to decisions we make. In that light, our often misguided self-awareness, particularly in relation to others and our environment I believe needs to be discussed continually. Our education system has such an opportunity in this area.

The 'Tree of Life' movie. It's highly philosophical and includes struggling with our past and the ongoing existential and conflictual nature of life. It reveals the diversity of our lives in an awe inspiring and emotional way.
