    I am especially interested and influenced by Jungian Psychology as developed by C.G. Jung. A Jungian approach attends to the interplay between consciousness and the unconscious, through working with the dream, while aiming to improve the nature of this dynamic interplay in the direction of bringing order out of disorder, purpose out of aimlessness, and meaning out of senselessness.

    I also utilise ideas and techniques from Interpersonal Therapy, Mindfulness, and other psychological therapies such as CBT and ACT.

    Mandatory professional supervision and ongoing professional development are requirements of registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).


    My training and experience includes my qualifications, extensive and varied work experience and I have participated in a personal/training analysis.

    I believe that people can fulfil their potential and live well if given the support and assistance to work towards overcoming personal barriers.

    I have done a great deal of work with people of all ages who have been diagnosed with a life limiting illness. I have also worked with their families throughout their bereavement.

    Ringwood North - Ample parking is available at the back, the entrance is through the back door.
    Fitzroy North - Lots of street parking available. Tram stop at the front door.


    I charge $160 for a 1 hour session. Medicare Rebates are available if you have a MHCP from your GP. Concessions are available in some circumstances, please discuss this with me.

    • What led you to choose psychotherapy or counselling as a profession?

    • I believe in people's potential and knew I wanted to help people.

      I studied psychology at university and then went looking for something more meaningful to me and that's when I enrolled in the transpersonal counselling diploma.

      I started working with a psychotherapist and through my relationship with her and looking at my dreams I learnt about Jung, dreams and the process of Individuation.
    • Which philosophical approaches have influenced your professional/personal development?

    • I've spent a lot of time reading Jung and I am very influenced by the work of Marie-Louise von Franz and Barbara Hannah, two extraordinary female Jungian analysts.
    • Which particular aspects of health or the human journey are you interested in?

    • I am interested in growth, in people becoming more conscious, more whole.
    • What method/s do you use?

    • The relationship between therapist and client is fundamental to the healing process. I work with the exchange in the relationship to continue to build the relationship and to facilitate shared understanding of the person's difficulties.

      I pay attention to that which is unconscious and wanting to make itself known, either through the person's dreams, drawing, writing or physical symptom.
    • When do you think the client will start to feel that progress is being made?

    • People can express a feeling of relief after their first session, from having talked about what is meaningful to them and having experienced being listened to. It can take time for the relationship to feel comfortable and the work to unfold, there are many factors at play.
    • Can you share the name of a book, film, song, event or work of art that inspires you?

    • Jungian Analyst, Robert Johnson's books - He, She and We have been very influential in understanding feminine and masculine psychology.
