Philosophy & Vision
Hi, I'm Mark, the counsellor behind Park Bench Counselling. I offer a warm, down-to-earth space where you can feel comfortable being yourself, without pressure or judgement.
I understand that reaching out for support can feel overwhelming, which is why I focus on creating a relaxed and genuine approach to counselling. Whether we’re sitting in session, walking side-by-side outdoors, or meeting online, my goal is to help you feel heard, supported, and understood.
I work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families across a range of challenges including anxiety, stress, burnout, self-esteem issues, emotional overwhelm, life transitions, relationship difficulties.
At Park Bench Counselling, therapy isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about having a safe place to pause, reflect, grow, and move forward at your own pace.
Background
Outside of counselling, I’m a husband and dad to two children and spend a lot of my time around the basketball courts coaching junior basketball. I’m passionate about supporting young people both on and off the court and understand the importance of connection, encouragement, and emotional wellbeing. I’ve also volunteered within aged care and enjoy staying active, watching sports, and spending time at the beach with my family.
