Philosophy & Vision

In my role as Counsellor and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, I aim to help people find safety and connection in their bodies, their relationships and in the environment in which they live. My deep understanding of the nervous system along with a non-judgemental, empathic and caring presence, helps my clients to settle into their own therapeutic exploration of self.

I am open to seeing any adult who feels they connect with me and my approach, however due to my own life experience and training, I work particularly well with people who have experienced trauma and those experiencing anxiety, depression, relational problems, chronic pain, and other somatic symptoms.

Background

I have been working in private practice as a Counsellor and Somatic Therapist for over 4 years. I have particular experience and interest in working with clients who have experienced trauma and who live with complex mental and physical health problems.
Prior to starting my private practice, I worked in the community care sector, specialising in Disability and Aged care. I have over 25 years' experience working in various service coordination, case management and management roles.
In all my work, I aim to support people to regain health and vitality and to live the lives they choose.
