Philosophy & Vision

Using evidence based therapies & an integrated empathic & holistic approach, I will compassionately, professionally & ethically work with clients whilst respecting their individual culture, religion, spirituality, values, beliefs, sexuality & socio-economic background. My warm, non-judgemental & respectful approach aims to support & empower clients. I have additional certifications, knowledge & experience in mindfulness, self-compassion, meditation, shame resilience & the corporate sector.

Background

Judith has significant experience in fertility related matters (grief & third party donor ART) as she continues to work at IVF Australia. She is a former group facilitator at St John of God, Burwood & has extensive experience working with psychiatric concerns. Judith has previously worked at Bankstown Women's Health Centre & volunteered for some years for Dial-A-Mum, Family Drug Support & Special Olympics.

Judith regularly facilitates comprehensive workshops on pubertal development, parenting, mindful self-compassion, mindfulness & meditation & shame resilience. Judith is the Geographic Leader - Asia Pacific Region for The Daring Way which is the curriculum based on the research of Dr Brene Brown.

    Therapy Approach

    Judith has an inclusive approach where the power of connection & empowerment is acknowledged. Judith has significant experience in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy & Interpersonal Therapy amongst other modalities. The shame resilience curriculum as researched by Brene Brown is a major influence of Judith's approach as she regularly assists clients to explore vulnerability, courage, wholehearted living & self-compassion. Judith has completed the Mindful Self-Compassion Teacher Training based on the research of Dr Kristin Neff & Dr Christopher Germer. She regularly incorporates this research into her approach. She is a graduate of the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program with Dr Tara Brach & Jack Kornfield.
