Philosophy & Vision

It is my strong belief that you have what it takes within you to change. It is up to us as a collaborative partnership to help find those resources. Whether as an individual or a couple, I can help you make sense of what the issues are, help you deal with them and lead a more satisfying and fulfilling life.

We all owe it to ourselves to fulfill our potential as far as possible. This is the meaning of our lives.

Spoken on Triple J; ABC Radio National; 3AW; and 2UE.
Consulted to many firms, from small to large, and government agencies.

    Therapy Approach

I work with a psychodynamic understanding which underpins most of my thinking. This refers to the ways in which early life impacts our adult functioning. I also think systemically. Systems thinking addresses the way in which each person in a family (the system) or a couple, influence each other and how each person contributes to what is happening. Integrated into this practice is Emotionally Focused Therapy which is especially powerful and helpful for couples.

I also work cognitively (a person's thoughts, values and beliefs), behaviourally (our actions) and with the feelings (emotions) that client's experience and in what ways they are helpful or not and to use this to help people bring about positive changes in their lives
