Philosophy & Vision

I offer a confidential space where you can speak freely, without pressure to present yourself in a certain way or to have clear answers from the outset. I am a counsellor and psychoanalyst based in Sydney, working with adults in person and online across Australia.

My approach is informed by psychoanalysis. It is oriented by listening to what is said, and to what returns—often in ways not immediately clear. This may appear in repetitions, points of difficulty, or in what resists being put into words. Rather than offering advice or solutions, the work allows these elements to be approached in their own terms.

I work with people experiencing anxiety, emotional distress, relationship difficulties, and moments of questioning. Some arrive with a specific concern; others with a more diffuse sense of being unsettled or stuck. In either case, the work proceeds from what you bring, without judgement or predefined categories.

Background

Before establishing my private practice, I spent many years engaged in the study of psychoanalysis and related fields, alongside my own analysis and ongoing professional formation. My work has been shaped by both academic training and sustained clinical experience.

Since entering private practice, I have worked with adults from diverse backgrounds, offering both in-person and online sessions. My practice continues to be informed by ongoing study, supervision, and a commitment to the ethical and clinical principles of psychoanalysis.

Services

  • Counselling, Psychoanalysis, Online Video Consultations
  • I offer counselling and psychoanalysis for adults experiencing anxiety, emotional distress, relationship difficulties, and moments of questioning or feeling stuck. The work is oriented by listening to what is said, and to what returns — often in ways that are not immediately clear. It provides a confidential space to speak freely, where what feels unclear, repetitive, or difficult to put into words can be approached in its own terms.

    Quality Provision

My work is guided by a commitment to ethical and professional practice. I follow the ethical frameworks and professional guidelines of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia and the Australian Counselling Association. I engage in ongoing clinical supervision and continued study in psychoanalysis, supporting the quality and integrity of the work. Sessions are confidential and conducted with care, consistency, and respect for each person’s way of speaking.

    Therapy Approach

My approach is informed by psychoanalysis and is centred on careful listening to what is said, and to what returns in ways that are not always immediately clear. This may appear in repetitions, in points of difficulty, or in what resists being put into words. Rather than offering advice or quick solutions, the work creates the conditions for a deeper understanding of your experience to emerge and to be understood differently.
