Philosophy & Vision

You might be feeling overwhelmed, caught in patterns that keep repeating, or struggling in relationships without fully understanding why. At times, things can feel unclear, difficult to put into words, or simply stuck.

I offer a confidential space to speak freely, without pressure to present yourself in a certain way. Together, we begin with what you bring, at your own pace, allowing things to gradually become clearer.

My work is grounded in psychoanalysis, with attention not only to what is said, but also to what returns, repeats, or resists being put into words. Rather than offering quick solutions, this approach makes space for a deeper understanding of your experience, often opening the possibility for more lasting change.

As a starting point, I offer a initial meeting of 50 minutes without fee, giving you the chance to speak, ask questions and get a sense of whether this feels right for you.

Background

Before establishing my private practice, I spent many years engaged in the study of psychoanalysis and related fields, alongside my own analysis and ongoing professional formation.

My work is shaped by both academic training and sustained clinical experience. I continue to engage in supervision and ongoing study as part of a commitment to ethical and thoughtful practice.

Services

  • Counselling, Psychoanalysis, Online Video Consultations
  • I offer psychoanalytic therapy and counselling for adults in a confidential and non-judgemental setting. Sessions provide a space to speak freely, without the need to find immediate answers, allowing things to gradually take shape.

You might notice, for example, finding yourself in similar relationship situations despite wanting something different, or experiencing a sense of pressure or unease without a clear reason why. Rather than focusing on strategies or immediate solutions, this work is oriented toward understanding the patterns shaping your experience.

If something here resonates with you, you're welcome to be in touch. There's no particular expectation, just a chance to have a first conversation.

    Quality Provision

My work is guided by a commitment to ethical and professional practice, supported by ongoing supervision and continued study in psychoanalysis. Sessions are conducted with care, consistency, and respect for each person’s way of living.

I am a member of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia and the Australian Counselling Association. My practice adheres to the ethical standards and professional guidelines set by these organisations.

    Therapy Approach

In psychoanalytic therapy, sessions unfold from what you bring — a concern, a feeling, something that has been sitting with you. There is no predetermined structure or category to fit yourself into.

Through the process of speaking freely, something gradually becomes possible: an encounter with your own truth. Not something I provide or direct you toward, but something that emerges from you, in your own words and at your own pace.

This is perhaps what surprises people most — that the understanding they were looking for, and the strength to act on it, was already theirs. The work is simply the space in which that becomes visible and possible.
