Philosophy & Vision
I believe somatic sessions create the conditions for genuine embodied change, rather than just symptom management or cognitive understanding.
My approach is especially supportive for clients who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or held back, or those who have done a lot of cognitive therapy & are ready for a Somatic Hakomi dive.
I support individuals & couples dealing with self-esteem issues, anxiety, trauma, sex-related challenges, grief, depression, reactivity, body image concerns, chronic pain & relationship / attachment issues. Where relevant, I draw on my Somatic Sexology expertise to help clients to understand their desire, shutdown, boundaries, relational dynamics & the ways in which early experiences shape our intimacy & access to pleasure.
The space I offer is culturally-sensitive, neuro-affirming, sex-positive, gender-inclusive, LGBTQIA+ friendly, and non-monogamy-affirming.
Background
I am a Hakomi-trained Psychotherapist with a Master of Counselling, BA (Hons) in Psychology & Certificate in Somatic Sexology/ Bodywork.
My private practice is strongly rooted in Somatic (Hakomi) Psychotherapy, supporting individuals & couples to understand the patterns & protective strategies that shape our lives by listening to the nervous system and the mind.
In the past, I enjoyed working in the NDIS space supporting individuals living with developmental differences & disabilities.
My deep dives into embodiment, sexuality, spirituality, psychedelics & cultural immersions across Europe & Latin America have shaped my open-minded, curious & inclusive attitude.

Therapy Approach
Most people come to therapy because they want something to change.
But lasting transformation starts with understanding how things are right NOW first.
Often people assume that we just ARE a certain way (e.g. shy, anxious, addictive, hyper-responsible etc).
Sometimes these are ways in which our nervous systems have adapted to help us survive in the world, creating automatic patterns of feeling and reacting.
I am here to help you gently uncover and understand these deeply ingrained patterns whilst cultivating self-compassion, self-esteem and safety in a grounded and supportive space...
...opening the path to genuine embodied change.
