Christina is a qualified and experienced Psychologist. She is kind and caring in her approach and loves helping clients achieve their goals and improve their life. Before she was a psychologist, she had many careers in the corporate world and understands the demands of balancing career and family pressure. Christina has a Bachelor of Social Science degree with Honours in Psychology. She is currently undertaking her Doctorate in Psychology focusing on teenage social media usage and its impacts.
Specialise in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of psychological and mental health problems. Working with adults, teenagers and families using psychological theory and research to provide a tailored intervention for each client.
ACT, CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, Schema Therapy
Christina specialises in providing evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Schema Therapy. All of these approaches are widely accepted around the world to treat a wide range of problems. They have been extensively researched and shown to be effective in clinical trials (in which the treatment’s effectiveness is compared against the results of having no treatment or against other treatments, such as medication).
I am dedicated to ongoing training and development ensuring that the most current evidence based treatments are implemented.
Christina is fully registered with the Psychology Board of Australia and she is a full member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and a member of the Australian College of Clinical Psychologists.
Balanced Living Psychology is the vision of Principal Psychologist, Christina Farrell who wants to help adolescents and adults navigate the challenges they face in life.

Christina has an interest in anxiety disorders, mood disorders, trauma and other complex problems. As part of her current Doctoral studies she is interested in how changing technologies are impacting upon adolescence in a dynamic and changing world. As part of this research she is working with adolescents, parents and educators to get a deeper understanding of its impacts with the aim of contributing to policy on best practice on technology usage....
