I provide my clients with a quality professional service in a safe and supportive environment; practical and sensible outcomes achieved in a relatively short time; effective and proven techniques based on more than 30 years of psychology consultancy practice; techniques to develop greater confidence and self-esteem so you are better equipped to manage everyday life.
I provide individual & couple counselling sessions to:
* Identify the triggers that lead to stressful, anxious, angry & depressed feelings
* Offer effective ways to deal with intense emotions
* Assist in understanding unhelpful & self-defeating patterns of thinking
* Gain skills in responding to anxiety attacks, depression, fear & rage
* Develop strategies to resolve conflict & relationship issues
* Deal with abuse, trauma, crises & issues related to life transition stages

I use a range of therapeutic tools with a focus on counselling, acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behaviour therapy, interpersonal psychology and mindfulness. My aim is to help clients within a relatively short time of 5 to 9 sessions. The techniques I use will help clients develop more effective functioning and healthier well-being to live a meaningful life.
I am a registered psychologist who provides services, with regard to privacy & confidentiality, under the ethical guidelines promoted by the APS.
I am committed to keeping up to date with current psychological practice, knowledge and research.
I do this by:
* Regularly attending workshops, seminars, conferences & courses
* Reading professional journals & books
* Participating in regular psychologists' supervision sessions
* Providing supervision to psychologists
I have worked as a psychologist in a number of settings within the public school system and private enterprise. I have trained and supervised psychologists and currently work in private practice with a focus on personal and relationship counselling.
Mondays to Thursdays: 8.00 am to 6.00 pm
Limited weekend appointments by arrangement

Fees are payable at the end of each session.
Medicare rebates (limited number per calendar year) can be claimed if clients provide an appropriate doctor referral with a Mental Health Treatment Plan.
