CBT, Existential, Interpersonal, Mindfulness, Person Centred, Psychodynamic
I am pluralistic in my practice with a special focus on meaning orientated/existential issues. I have trained in existential therapy and person-centred/experiential therapy. I also incorporate relational psychotherapy into my practice as well as utilising CBT (including mindfulness) to support clients who are seeking to manage their symptoms of mental illnesses. All my work is based on the therapeutic relationship, through which safety for the client is established and which then act as a microcosm of what occurs in the rest of the client’s world allowing us to work to resolve the client's concerns.
I participate regularly in supervision and mentoring. When required I undertake my own personal therapy.I ensure my ongoing professional development, studying to stay up to date with the latest evidence based practices. I work to ensure that the therapeutic relationship we form provides the greatest level of both safety and growth possible. I am bound by the Australian Association of Social Workers Code of Ethics. Professional, helpful, caring, safe and ethical practice is my top priority.
I graduated from UNSW with a Bachelor Of Social Work (Hons) and from the UWS with a Master of Counselling (Distinction). For the past 16 years I have provided counselling and psychotherapy services within the NSW Department of Health. I have also spent time teaching in counselling and therapy classes.
I have completed Level 1 Training in the Gottman Method and I use this method in my work with relationships.

Psychotherapist, Relationship Therapist
I am a psychotherapist, counsellor and health and well-being coach with 16 years experience supporting individuals and couples to live more fully and authentically. Counselling and psychotherapy can be a short term process where we focus on developing skills to help you deal with very specific concerns, or therapy can be a long-term process where we explore where you have come from and the direction you want to head in life by increasing your awareness of yourself and your world....
