The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.

Philosophy & Vision

Sometimes we forget how much strength and courage it takes to seek help and that it’s often the first step towards healing and change. In my practice I welcome all parts of you warmly, with compassion and deep interest in you and what brings you to therapy.
Maybe you are struggling with anxiety or depression? Maybe you are feeling overwhelmed and exhausted by feelings, thoughts or behaviours that are keeping you stuck? Maybe you are going through a big life transition that is turning your world upside down like a change in your career or relationship, a pregnancy or going through menopause?
No matter where you are at, I will travel alongside you, guide and support you, so that you can feel safe and even curious about getting to know parts of you that may have been hidden or that may hold important information. My work is trauma aware, informed by mindful somatic psychotherapy (Hakomi) and psychodynamic theory.

Background

I originally completed a Bachelor in Pharmacy in Germany but decided to change careers a few years later after moving to Australia, where I completed a Graduate Diploma in Counselling at the Australian Institute of Counselling in Sydney.

As part of my training and my work experience I have worked with clients suffering from addiction and supported women diagnosed with breast cancer during this extremely challenging time.

In my private practice, I am passionate about supporting women who are stuck in often unconscious patterns that keep them stuck in feeling overwhelmed, result in a strong inner critic and constant self-doubt. I support women to find more inner freedom and to reconnect to a sense of peace and agency.

Services

  • Counselling, Psychotherapy, Phone Consultations, Online Video Consultations
  • I offer individual therapy for adults who are seeking support with recent or current challenges as well as wanting to address deeper, underlying issues.
