Philosophy & Vision

I’m deeply passionate about integrating psychological science with the complexity of the brain and the depth of the heart and soul. I believe that meaningful change begins with truly understanding yourself — your patterns, your needs, and what matters most to you.

When we develop deeper self-awareness, we begin to make sense of how we show up in the world. From there, we can start to feel more solid and grounded in ourselves — to heal and nurture the nervous system, to shift long-held patterns, and to develop healthier self-beliefs. Strengthening these core aspects of self helps us to cope better with the challenges that life throws our way.

The essence of trauma is disconnection from the self. Therefore, the essence of healing is not just uncovering the past, but reconnecting with yourself in the present—and that takes compassion, not judgment.

Background

I am a psychologist with a broad range of experience working across private practice and community-based settings. My primary focus has been providing therapy to adolescents and adults in private practice, addressing a variety of mental health concerns through evidence-based interventions. I have also worked at headspace, delivering short-term, early intervention support to young people in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.

Prior to becoming a registered psychologist, I held roles in the community sector, including with the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ), where I supported family contact visits for children in out-of-home care. Additionally, I worked as a youth worker, supporting children, teens, and families.

    Therapy Approach

In our work together, you can expect a combination of deep emotional attunement (heart), exploration of purpose and meaning (soul), and practical, evidence-based strategies (science). My hope is that therapy becomes a stable base for you — a space where you can be raw, vulnerable, and fully yourself. From this foundation, more meaningful and authentic relationships can grow — including the one you have with yourself.

Modalities I draw from include (but are not limited to):

    - Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT),
    - Polyvagal-informed Somatic Therapy
    - Tri-Phased Treatment for Complex Trauma
    - Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
    - Psychodynamic Therapy
    - Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)
