Philosophy & Vision
Psychotherapy is both a process and a relationship - somewhere and someone we can go to when life becomes difficult, overwhelming, or no longer makes sense. Although a person’s experience of psychotherapy is their own, broadly speaking, it is a collaborative exploration and understanding of ourselves alongside a nonjudgmental other to bring change and a deeper engagement with ourselves and life.
Background
I am an experienced Counselling Psychologist, Psychotherapist, and Clinical Supervisor. Prior to establishing my private practice in 2021, I spent over a decade working across a broad range of community mental health settings, including several youth mental health services, a national crisis and parenting support helpline, as well as university and drug and alcohol counselling services.

I have completed a Bachelor of Psychological Science with First Class Honours and most recently a Master of Psychology (in the field of Counselling Psychology) with Distinction at the University of Queensland. Therapy Approach
My way of working with and understanding your experiences is largely influenced by psychodynamic frameworks. This means that as I hear your story I hold in mind how our relationships with others, both past and present, can shape how we experience life in unexpected ways; that emotional and inner experiences can be a valuable source of understanding; and that healing through psychotherapy requires a kind of relationship that allows a person to feel at ease, unburdened, and grow.
I also offer play therapy for children and young adolescents. This approach allows a child to connect with and make sense of their emotional experiences at their developmental level without relying on prior emotional understanding, reasoning, or vocabulary.
