Philosophy & Vision
I’m a psychologist who works from a relational, trauma-informed, and body-aware perspective. I believe therapy works best when you feel safe, understood, and not rushed into “fixing” yourself. My role isn’t to tell you what to do, but to walk alongside you as we make sense of your experiences, patterns, and nervous system responses.
I typically work with adults who feel stuck in cycles of anxiety, overwhelm, emotional reactivity, or disconnection, often shaped by complex trauma, attachment wounds, difficult relationships, or long-standing stress.
My approach integrates evidence-based talk therapies with somatic and nervous-system-informed care, recognising that healing isn’t just something we “think” our way through, it’s something we feel, experience, and practise over time. I value honesty, gentleness, and humour where it fits, and I aim to create a space where all parts of you are welcome.
Background
Before private practice, my work was grounded in frontline and community roles supporting children, young people, and families through complex circumstances. I worked as a supervised contact worker supporting children removed from parental care, and later as a caseworker providing early-intervention support for youth homelessness and harm-reduction drug and alcohol services. Since qualifying as a psychologist, I’ve worked in child and family private practice offering neurodiversity-affirming care and NDIS support, at Open Arms Veterans and Families Counselling Service, and in private practice supporting adults with attachment-related difficulties, identity and life transitions, and complex trauma.
Services
I offer individual therapy for adults, with the option to invite a partner or family member into sessions where this may support your individual therapeutic work. Sessions are collaborative and paced by you, with care taken to create a safe and steady process. Where helpful, we may also explore referrals to other services or ways to strengthen support and connection beyond therapy, recognising that meaningful change is supported by a broader sense of belonging and care.
Quality Provision
I am committed to providing high-quality, ethical, and trauma-informed psychological care. My work is guided by professional standards and evidence-based practice, supported by regular supervision and ongoing professional development. I value reflective practice, collaboration, and clear communication to ensure therapy remains safe, respectful, and responsive to each client’s needs.
