Philosophy & Vision

Anita is an Internal Family Therapy (IFS) Level 1 practitioner. She is deeply committed to help guide her clients to heal attachment wounds, complex trauma and the hurting inner dialogues that are the results of these. She believes that re-connecting from the inside out, body and mind, is the most helpful way to integrate relational trauma.

I'm grateful for IFS as a system providing us a new paradigm to approach our humanity. I believe that the human mind is inherently multiple. I see most traits and 'disorders' as our internal personalities' (parts) best efforts to keep us safe and pain free, even if for moments.

Background

I'm an IFS Level 2 practitioner and integrative experiential therapist in private practice since 2018. During these years I helped hundreds of people improve their inner relationships and as a result, their lives. My clients, often paralysed by inner criticism, overthinking, debilitating depression, anxiety or panic, made transformational changes when discovered the roots of all the above behaviours and not just tried to counteract them.
The process of discovery is helped by various experiential approaches: Internal Family Systems (IFS), Coherence Therapy, AEDP, Somatic approaches and the Polyvagal Theory. The transformational change is then supported by neuroscience, informed by memory reconsolidation. The result is a better life.

Services

  • Counselling, Psychotherapy, Couples Therapy, Phone Consultations, Online Video Consultations
  • My main modality is Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy. One of the most respectful, non-judgmental and compassionate bottom-up approaches known to psychology to date. It's a great honour to witness my clients stop trying to fix and manage parts of themselves that they experience as problematic, and instead start meeting themselves with acceptance and care.

    Therapy Approach

Anita is an IFS Institute qualified Level 1 Internal Family Systems (IFS) Practitioner. Her trauma-sensitive approaches are rooted in Polyvagal Theory, also called the science of connection. She uses the intersection of IFS and Somatic Attachment Focused Expressive Therapies (SAFE-T, also professionally qualified).

IFS is one the most non-judgmental, non-shaming and compassionate therapies that provides insight into our minds transforming criticism and self-hate to acceptance and self-love.
