Philosophy & Vision

I work with people who find that words alone aren’t always enough — especially when experiences are held in the body as images, impulses, or sensations rather than clear narratives. I invite creative expression and somatic awareness as ways to reclaim the agency of our bodies and narratives.

I work with children and adults, offering a collaborative and paced approach that supports more-than-verbal ways of communicating, expressing, and understanding experience. This may include visual arts, play, attention to sensation, movement, music, or story-making.

I am registered as a Clinical Counsellor, hold a Master’s in Therapeutic Arts Practice, and am a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner. My work is grounded in trauma-informed care and an understanding of trauma as personal, collective, historical, and systemic. If this resonates with what you're looking for, you're welcome to get in touch.

Background

Before establishing a private practice, I worked in public policy, advocacy, and program design across service system contexts in Australia. This showed how access, circumstances, and choice are shaped by systemic forces more than than individual capacity, grounding my therapeutic work in an awareness of power, responsibility, and the limits of individualised models.

My therapy work has developed through creative practice, relational ethics, and embodied approaches, alongside teaching and consultation roles in community settings. My orientation is shaped by lived experience and my practice as an artist, and by the power of imagination, joy, and ecological world-building, informing how I work with trauma, agency, and ethics in practice.

Services

  • Counselling, Psychotherapy, Workshops / Courses, Professional Training, Online Video Consultations
  • I work primarily with individuals, offering therapy for children and adults, but with capacity for workshops and ongoing therapy groups. Arts therapy and somatic approaches are integrated in my practice but can be tailored to the interests and needs of each person.

You do not need prior experience with art-making or somatic work.

    Quality Provision

I am a registered counsellor with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) and a founding member of PACFA's College of Creative and Experiential Therapies (CCET). My work is informed by professional development, clinical supervision, and ethical accountability within these frameworks??.
