Philosophy & Vision
I work with people at thresholds — where old identities no longer fit, anxiety lives in the body, and something deeper is asking to be heard. Understand therapy as a relational meditation (a practice of making contact), through slowing down together, we create space to hold the fullness of your life as it unfolds.
I draw on integrative, somatic, contemplative, and eco-therapeutic approaches, working with anxiety, depression, grief, identity and relationship challenges, and existential or spiritual questions.
As a queer man with Indian heritage, I stay close to the ways the personal, social, and spiritual are inseparable — and offer an affirming space for LGBTQIA+ folk and men exploring masculinity and identity.
Therapy with me is a space to slow down, find language for what's hard to speak, and restore contact — with yourself, others, and what feels most life-giving.
Background
Before coming to private practice, I spent over a decade working at the intersection of social innovation, regenerative leadership, and community development — working with organisations including Google Australia, Red Cross, Bank Australia and the Foundation for Young Australians. That work was always asking the same question therapy asks: what actually needs to change here, and at what level?
Psychotherapy gave that work a more honest foundation. Since training, I've co-founded Turning Ground — a psychotherapy and community space in Thornbury — where clinical work and leadership offerings sit alongside each other. For me, they never have been separate.
Services
I offer individual and couples psychotherapy, as well as therapeutic group programs for leaders and communities navigating complex personal and relational terrain.
My approach is integrative, relational, and depth-oriented — drawing on attachment theory, somatic practice, contemplative traditions, and ecological philosophy. I don't work toward symptom removal alone, but toward a fuller, more grounded relationship with yourself, others, and the life you're living.
What makes my work distinctive is the breadth of what I hold: the rigour of clinical training alongside a background in leadership, community development, and organisational life.
