Hi, I'm Lara!
I am currently studying Writing and Publishing at the University of Technology, Sydney, and I have a passion for telling stories through my writing and art. I live in Bowral with my family and our two kittens Monty and Arlo, plus a few chaotic chickens. I love books, and am lucky enough to work in a bookstore; the beautiful Berkelouw Book Barn in Berrima. I am a passionate soccer player and a lover of all things ancient history. And of course, I love coming up with stories and making people smile with my cartoon drawings.

I would love to one day become a screenwriter for the animation industry or be a children's book author/illustrator. I have always enjoyed creating my own characters and story worlds. At the age of 8, I wrote a book called 'The Adventures of Captain Muffin', made with folded pieces of paper, staples, a pen and some crayons. I would bring that book everywhere! Once it was finished, my Christmas wish was for it to be published and my mum did a very good job of getting it made into a little paperback. Sharing my art and stories with others has always brought me joy, and I have always found I communicate better through the written word. I hope to bring this love of creativity into my career one day.
