Graduate Diploma in Counselling (ACAP) - 2004
Counsellors and Psychotherapists Association of NSW Inc
Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia

Through counselling, I engage with people with dashed hopes, shattered dreams and broken hearts. For those who have a love for learning, I offer life coaching. In both cases, modalities, tools and goals are individually tailored to suit your needs and preferences.

Services are offered in English and Japanese.
My training as a counsellor was completed at Australian College of Applied Psychology. Further studies have followed in an array of subjects ranging from collaborative negotiation skills to Acceptance & Commitment Therapy based on Buddhist mindfulness. The quality of my service is constantly enhanced by ongoing self development, supervision and peer group exchanges. My commitment to those who come to my practice is to provide a meaningful service which serves as a catalyst for positive changes.

I have been working as a counsellor for six years, originally in a palliative care hospital setting and then in private practice. I also have over twenty years of experience as a professional interpreter at international conferences. Based on my deep respect for all people and diverse cultures, I am constantly working with clients to find ways to dissolve past and present issues and creating a more peaceful internal state as well as a fulfilling way of coexisting with each other. Visulaise two clasped hands. The hand of the client brings to this union not only concerns and fears, but also hopes, strengths, resources and talents. The hand of the counsellor contributes not only empathy, patience and understanding, but also a wealth of professional knowledge and experience. Together, each session will be for you, a co-creation of a journey where fresh insights, effective problem solving skills and enhanced inner peace await to be discovered.
