Psychotherapy, individual and relationship counselling, including phone counselling sessions for individuals. Supervision and training for other therapists, counsellors, health practitioners and community workers. Training skills in workplace communication, conflict resolution and cross cultural awareness. I have taught individual and couple counseling. I give workshops and public talks on preventative health regarding the socio-cultural issues affecting preteen girls entering puberty.
Ongoing clinical supervision and professional development
I have specific expertise working with teen girls and their parents. I am the author of Puberty Girl (Allen and Uwin 2004) which is an internationally published book.

I have over 16 years local and international experience in counseling, psychotherapy, group facilitation and training. I also have extensive experience as a business and community consultant teaching and facilitating programs on cross cultural communication, conflict transformation and individual and relationship counseling. I have 17 years experience running programs on puberty for young girls and more recently mother/daughter weekend retreats on puberty and rites of passage. My approach is wholisitic and process oriented in strengthening and integrating central and more marginalised experiences in our lives individually, in our relationships and in a broader social context. These can appear as disturbances, illness or recurring relationship conflicts. My work is based on a holographic model which holds the belief that deepening our understanding and changing one aspect has a rippling effect on all the others.
