Services

  • Counselling, Psychotherapy
  • I am a registered psychologist and counsellor working with children, adolescents and adults in Melbourne CBD. Most people I see come to me with issues associated with depression, anxiety or worry. I can help, however, with many different concerns and questions that life brings up. These may be life transitions, coping with illness, getting older, loss of meaning or feeling stressed and overwhelmed.

    Areas of Special Interest

  • Adolescent Issues, Anxiety / Panic Attacks, Assertiveness, Borderline Personality, Decision Making, Depression, Emotional Crisis, Existential Issues, Fertility / Pregnancy, Grief / Bereavement, Life Threatening Illness, Life Transitions, Postnatal Depression, Psychosomatic, Stress Management, Suicidal Feelings
  • MODALITIES / Approach

CBT, Existential, Interpersonal, Mindfulness, Person Centred, Psychodynamic, Solution Oriented

My treatment approach depends on you and your personality, your presenting problem and what factors may be contributing to that problem.
For example, I mainly use interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT) with adults and adolescents with depression, however, for problems such as social anxiety I use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I often incorporate a strength-based, solution-focused approach when working with young people.
I have a special interest in existential psychotherapy which does not focus so much on the past but increasing self-awareness of the present so that you can make choices to lead a more meaningful and fulfilling life. This approach is helpful to address feelings of despair, loneliness and meaninglessness that can affect us at various times of our lives.
