| I believe that by understanding the connections between physical symptoms and emotional experiences we can create a bridge of communication that links the language of the body and the verbal and cognitive language we speak - allowing integration between doing and being. With this holistic gentle holding we are able to open and expand previously pre-scripted and seemingly pre-destined physical and emotional patterns and take advantage of the possibilities that are truly available. In this way a person may grow and evolve - not just alter a behaviour or way of thinking. |
The quality of my work is upheld by my continuing passion for research, professional development and self-growth. This is further sustained by highly qualified and experienced supervisors in the areas of somatic, psychodynamic, psychoanalytic, self-psychology, Buddhist and spiritual teachings. |

| I have been a Somatic Psychotherapist in full time practice since 1997. My clients are referred by doctors, psychiatrists, naturopaths, the Eating Disorders Association, the Learning Difficulties Association, physiotherapists, chiropractors and osteopaths. My experience is in working holistically, bringing together the physical symptoms, as well as the emotional, psychological, spiritual and traumatic experiences to achieve a sustainable and embodied resolution. I work with children, teenagers, adults and couples. |
I utilise a number of modalities in my work, primarily focussing on a holistic somatic or body-oriented perspective. This also includes working from a psychodynamic, solution focused, transpersonal and spiritual approach, underpinned by a gentle and yet professional holding of the therapeutic space. |
