BA (Hons) Clinical Psychology - Univ. South Africa
Australian Psychological Society

I am able to work with anxiety, depression, posttraumatic stress disorder, sleeping problems, nightmares, panic attacks, the effects of sexual abuse, physical abuse, illness and other trauma. We now know that ongoing stress affects the brain and the nervous system and we also know that there are a number of ways to restore the peacefulness of a healthy body other than medication. I attend peer supervision, seminars, workshops and conferences on a regular basis. I have trained with the Australian Society of Hypnosis and learned the use of EMDR from the originator, Francine Shapiro, in 1993.

I have been working as a counsellor for 32 years and in clinical and forensic psychology for nearly 20 years. I have worked with intellectual disability, crime and mental illness as well as trauma, relationship difficulties and interpersonal issues. I have been in private practice since April 1994 - 13 years. I have been working with offenders since 1991 and have worked with sex offenders, serious violent offenders, and people dependent on drugs and alcohol.
