Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology
BA (Hons) Psychology
Australian Psychological Society

I provide a therapeutic environment imbued with safety, respect, acceptance and deep listening as I seek to understand and support each client in moving towards their desired outcomes. The therapeutic endeavour is always most successful when the client understands their role is one of active participation both in and between sessions.
I work with those wanting to deepen their relationship to themselves & those around them through individual and couples counselling.
As a fully qualified & endorsed Counselling Psychologist I operate according to the ethical and professional standards required by the Australian Psychological Society. Furthermore, I undertake ongoing self-therapy, which I consider to be fundamental to good therapy, and am supported by regular professional supervision.

I have been in practice as a psychologist for 8 years, and practiced for many years prior to that as a Naturopath. This has given me a rich and diverse background from which to draw creatively as a psychotherapist in the face of each individual’s uniqueness as a client. My personal journey with psychotherapy, self-healing, spirituality and meditation also spans over 25 years – may it continue long into the future. As Carl Jung advised, I leave theory outside the consulting room, as my intention is to meet you as the unique and complex individual you are. The perspectives that have most influenced my orientation include those of the psychodynamic tradition (including dream work), existentialism and humanism, transpersonal psychology and Buddhist psychology - in particular the Mindfulness therapies such as Hakomi.
