My role is to explore with the client new approaches to problems and to make the therapy session a safe place to understand and do things differently. Thinking & talking about a problem is insufficient; “doing” catalyzes change. Old patterns learned through action must be actively unlearned and replaced.. Empowering in session exercises like re-scripting an event, role-playing a situation, writing a no-send letter, communicating with the body or drawing facilitate profound and lasting change.
