Regularly reviews with clients what they are achieving in counselling. Alana seeks supervision and guidance as needed with a reputable and experienced Family Therapist.

Alana has over ten years experience in individual counselling and family therapy with children, adolescents, and adults. In addition to her private practice, she works in specialist services in the public child and family welfare field. Her experience includes addressing violence within families; trauma; and extensive knowlege in a range of parenting strategies for children of all ages. Alana draws on a wide range of tools. She is trained in Systemic Therapy, Psychodynamic work, and Solution-Focussed Therapy. Some clients want to explore past issues including childhood, and some want to look for practical solutions to current issues without looking back – Alana can accommodate either approach. In addition to ‘talk’ therapies, Alana utilises other approaches such as Reiki (energy work), play therapy, creative visualisation, and meditation.
