	In my practice people have the opportunity to talk through their problems in a comfortable, non judgmental, and friendly environment. They are given support, while they work through the various issues that are affecting their lives. This is a place where you feel safe, at a time when you are feeling most vulnerable. My work focuses on peoples current situations, as well as their past. I work with individuals, couples and groups.

As a Clinical Member of the Counsellors and Psychotherapists Association of NSW and a Registered Member of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia I am required to take part in on going Supervision, Peer Support and Professional Development.

Experience

Orientation

Prior to opening BRD Counselling services in 2004 I worked at the Smith Family and The Child Abuse Prevention Service. I have also been a counsellor for Whispers Cottage a day stay unit for mums and babies. I am a registered Cancer Counsellor and have a wide experience working with cancer patients and carers, for workcover I provide counselling to help a return to work. Being in my 50's I bring a wide life experience to my practice!!

During therapy I aim to give people encouragement, guidance and support to enable them to heal their lives. I feel that it is important to enpower people to make there own change,s and to bring peace to fraught situations, be they personal, in relationships or in the workplace. This could be as an individual or a couple.
