As a qualified clinician with an extensive background in the healthcare profession I enjoy a continuing commitment to my ongoing self education and professional development and maintain a deep interest in the current issues that impact personal well being.
By attending regular seminars workshops and lectures I am in contact with the important professional issues and integrate these in my practice through ongoing clinical supervision and personal therapy. In addition to this I read a broad range of professional journals and articles that ensures my clinical knowledge is appropriate and relevant.

I have practiced as a psychotherapist for the past ten years both within a private practice setting and in a hospital based outreach environment.
Another aspect of my work includes the development of leadership and management skills as an executive coach working with both directors and managers.
My psychotherapeutic practice is based on a psychoanalytical perspective and is informed by a lifelong interest in spiritual practice, the connection between mind and body and the capacity of the individual to give creative expression to their full potential.

As a Candidate of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Jungian Analysts my training has continued to develop my capacity to assist people in engaging with and to consider those unconscious forces that affect everyone's life and relationships to some extent. This work is informed by insights and theories about the nature of self, developed by C.G. Jung and post-Jungian practitioners.
A number of important factors distinguish my work as a Jungian Psychotherapist and include:
• To bring to awareness what was formerly unconscious.
• To focus close attention on the motivations in thought and actions that lie beneath conscious awareness so as to achieve deep and enduring positive change.
• A focus on the process of the therapeutic work in addition to the content i.e. to focus upon the inner and outer experiences of our lives.
• The use of symbolic imagery that emerge spontaneously in dreams, creative pursuits and in daily experience.
A central theme in my clinical practice with people is to develop a vital and meaningful relationship between the conscious and unconscious aspects of ourselves so as to create a movement towards balance and wholeness and so bring relief and meaning to psychological suffering. In facilitating this connection between conscious and unconscious aspects a new sense of clarity and awareness is experienced that creates new values, vitality and purpose.
