| Over a decade of experience of psychological treatment with adults (individuals, couples and groups). Specialised in the treatment of depression, posttraumatic stress disorder and addictive behaviours. I also have an interest in women’s decision-making regarding child-rearing versus career; and in resolving difficulties related to the transition to parenthood. I have casual teaching positions with Griffith University, University of QLD and QUT. |
I use cognitive behaviour therapy techniques for resolving current difficulties and schema therapy and aspects of existential therapy when clients wish to work through longstanding issues. Therapy can be brief (4 to 6 sessions) or long term (16+ sessions) depending on the nature of the problem and the client's preferences. |
