Philosophy & Vision
I am no longer treating clients in private practice. I am managing the Rubicon Drug and Alcohol Program at Belmont Private Hospital, and also have a postdoctoral research fellowship (investigating addictive behaviours and processes of therapy) at the University of Queensland. I will continue to provide clinical supervision for psychologists and alcohol and drug clinicians.
Background
Over a decade of experience of psychological treatment with adults (individuals, couples and groups). Specialised in the treatment of depression, posttraumatic stress disorder and addictive behaviours. I also have an interest in women's decision-making regarding child-rearing versus career; and in resolving difficulties related to the transition to parenthood. I have casual teaching positions with Griffith University, University of QLD and QUT.
Services
Clinical supervision for psychologists and alcohol and drug clinicians. Teaching and workshops in the areas of mental health, therapies, psychopharmacology, substance use disorders, dual disorders.
Quality Provision
As a member of the Australian Psychological Society and the Australasian Professional Society for Alcohol and Drugs (APSAD), I am kept informed of the latest developments in the understanding and treatment of mental health and addiction problems. I attend workshops and conferences regularly and measure progress and outcomes for my clients.
