Philosophy & Vision

There are times when we find ourselves in crisis and in need of a safe space in which to regain our balance. Crisis affords us an opportunity to grow in self-knowledge and personal insight, and to develop personal resources that assist us in facing future challenges with greater resilience and strength. My aim is to provide an engaged therapeutic relationship within which to facilitate this process.

Background

25 years in private practice working with adolescents and adults of all ages with a wide variety of concerns, in particular relationship and personality issues. Apart from the more regular brief interventions, I have gained substantial experience in the longer-term therapy recommended for individuals troubled by so-called personality disorders. I have also worked with many clients who have been diagnosed with psychotic disorders.

Services

  • Counselling, Psychotherapy, Couples Therapy, Assessment
  • Psychotherapy and counselling, both brief and longer-term, couples and parent counselling, crisis intervention, dream work, and support of persons who have experienced psychotic illness.

Regular participation in professional development opportunities as recommended by The Psychologists' Registration Board and the Australian Psychological Society.
